The Branch exists to:
- Establish annual commemoration on weekends near an anniversary of a battle
- Develop local links, eg. council, media, tourism, other historic sites.
- Develop links with other relevant societies
- Develop on-site facilities, eg. trail, information boards, museum, publications
- Build up resources, eg. on the website, showing relevant sources of information
- Publish a periodic branch newsletter; Arrange talks from experts on specific issues.
